Historic vs Historical

Something historic has a great importance to human history. Something historical is related to the past. People with big egos get them mixed up if they say they had a historic family background.

Historic means ‘important or likely to be important in history’.

Historical means ‘related to the study of things from the past’:
- Örnek 1: I love reading historical novels.
- Örnek 2: Archaeologists found a large number of historical objects when they excavated the field.
