incubation in bird sanctuary

incubating vs hatch

  • Solution: Incubation refers to the process by which certain oviparous (egg-laying) animals hatch their eggs. Hatching of eggs refers to the production of baby chicks.
  • The incubator has the turning trays which occasionally turn the eggs during the incubation process. The temperature may be set a bit higher than the temperature in a hatcher. More so the required incubation humidity will be lower than the required hatching humidity.

walking vs hiking

  • Walks are shorter in duration and able to be enjoyed by any age group with relative fitness. Hike: A hike tends to be longer and harder walks that are usually on trails through the mountains or trails through bush or countryside terrain. The trails are generally visible trails but not the smooth surfaces of a walk. | What’s the difference between a walk, hike, trek and tramp? | worldexpeditions.com
  • Hiking offers all the cardiovascular benefits of walking, but the uneven terrain does more to strengthen the leg and core muscles, which in turn boosts balance and stability, said Alicia Filley, a physical therapist outside Houston who helps train clients for outdoor excursions. | nytimes.com

iskele = pier vs dock

  • pier vs dock
  • Docks and piers are seemingly identical marine structures made from hardwood, steel, composites, or concrete. However, these have specific functions for seafarers. Docks are for anchoring marine vessels like ships, while piers serve as buffers between the land and water.
  • Many folks use the word “dock” to describe a place to tie up a boat, while using “pier” to describe a transitional structure between water and land.
    • 01
    • Used most interchangeably with wharf, piers are often longer and communal. “For me, a pier comes with a connotation of being a public space, where anyone can fish or swing or catch a breeze,” says Home and Features Editor Betsy Cribb, a Charleston, South Carolina, native. For Senior Special Projects Editor Katie Rousso, who is from Memphis, it depends on what you’re looking at. “If it’s the lake, we call it a dock. At the beach, we call public fishing, shopping, and hangout areas a pier,” she says. Virginia-raised Editorial Fellow Mary Alice Russell says for her, it’s always a pier.
  • Piers are rigidly connected to the land, with no parts that float or rely on the water itself for support, making them less susceptible to wave action. Docks, with floating or partially floating elements, are more affected by wave activity and water levels, requiring different anchoring systems and engineering.
